On Monday, 8 May 2023, the Austria Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES) together with the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (DA) and the Center for Strategic Analysis (CAS) organised the second event of the "Zeitenwende" trilogy.

The invited guests were Martin Selmayr (Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Austria), Nico Lange (German political advisor, involved in the "Zeitenwende" initiative at the Munich Security Conference) and Ronald Vartok (Head of the Military Policy Department at the Ministry of Defence, Austria), who presented their views and assessments on the title "The Future of European Security Policy". The experts then discussed the European security architecture since the Russian war of aggression on Ukraine in a question-and-answer session with the audience. Ambassador Emil Brix welcomed the audience and Dr Werner Fasslabend moderated the event.

The third part of the event series "Options for Austrian Security Policy" will take place on Wednesday, 31 May 2023 at 7:00 pm.

Please note: All three events were held in German.
