03.07.24 What's next for Europe?
On 3 July 2024 the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES), in collaboration with the Vienna School of International Studies (DA) and the Austrian-German Friendship-Association, hosted a discussion with Prof. Dr. Martin Selmayr, former Secretary-General of the European Commission and Visiting Professor for European Law at the University of Vienna. Mr. Selmayr reviewed the election results and outlined the new contours of the European institutions, providing at the same time great insights on their functioning. He notably discussed EU top jobs nomination, the composition of the Parliament, and the potential alliances to be formed. The discussion was led by AIES President Dr. Werner Fasslabend.
