This engaging and timely panel discussion explores one of today’s most provocative geopolitical scenarios.

Recent public debate surrounding the possibility that the United States might acquire Greenland, an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, has sparked strong reactions from leaders in Greenland, Denmark, and across Europe. The discussion has exposed underlying tensions within NATO between alliance cohesion and national sovereignty, while raising profound questions about international law, transatlantic relations, and power politics in the Arctic region.

As climate change accelerates and geopolitical competition intensifies, the Arctic is emerging as a strategic frontier. Greenland sits at the center of evolving conversations on European security, NATO credibility, and the balance between sovereignty and strategic interests.
