On December 9, 2021, AIES President Werner Fasslabend welcomed Arian Hamidi Faal, Foreign Editor and Head of Foreign Policy at Cercle Diplomatique, for a discussion on the topic "Iran Nuclear Deal: Obstacles and Opportunities".The talk took place as negotiations on the Nuclear Deal resumed in Vienna, with the participation of a new Iranian delegation. Next to Iranian interests, the anticipated outcome of the negotiations for Americans and Europeans were discussed, whilst also touching upon the difficult social and economic situation in Iran due to the sanctions.
