The Indo-Pacific: The World‘s New Centre of Gravity

On March 8th, AIES President Werner Fasslabend welcomed selected guest speakers to the Vienna School of International Studies to give their presentation on the Indo-Pacific. Antoine Bondaz, Director of the Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique (FRS) in Paris, Stefania Benaglia, Associate Researcher at the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, Christian Wagner, Senior Researcher at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin and Alfred Gerstl, President of the Central European Institute of Asian Studies (CEIAS) in Vienna, and Werner Fasslabend discussed the reasons why the region around the Indo-Pacific can be considered "the world's new centre of gravity".
