AIES Director Michael Zinkanell gave a workshop for CET Prague Global Security Studies students

On 13 March 2025, the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES) had the pleasure of hosting a guest lecture for students from the CET Prague Global Security Studies program. The session was led by AIES Director Michael Zinkanell and offered an in-depth exploration of key issues shaping today’s security landscape.
During the lecture, students engaged with a wide range of topics including European security architecture, the role of the European Union in international affairs, and the evolving dynamics of transatlantic relations. Particular emphasis was placed on Austria’s perspective and strategic considerations in responding to global challenges.
The interactive session encouraged critical reflection and exchange, providing valuable insights into the complexities of EU foreign and security policy in a rapidly changing geopolitical environment.
