Western Balkans and the EU integration process
Expert workshop at the AIES

On December 12, 2023, the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy hosted an exclusive workshop on "The Challenges of the Western Balkans in the European Integration Process with Special focus on the Geopolitical Situation and the Influence of the External Actors". The focus was on the most pressing current challenges in the Western Balkans that hinder or promote EU integration, the influence of external actors and the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Viola Cintia M.A., Research Fellow at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA), Hungary
