On 06 May 2022, the President of the AIES, Dr. Werner Fasslabend, discussed the military situation and the global consequences of the war in Ukraine with guest speakers Major General Bruno Hofbauer, Dr. Stefan Lehne, and Dr. Susanne Weigelin-Schwiedrzik. The challenges in the war were addressed and discussed from three different perspectives: a military and an analytical one, what the consequences of the war might be, and the role of China in the conflict.
