On April 3, a panel discussion organised by the National Defence Academy on the topic of “Europe and Ukraine caught between two chairs” took place in the Sala Terrena.
AIES Research Fellow Dr. Livia Benko was invited amongst other experts like Priv.-Doz. Dr. Bastian Matteo Scianna, Dr. Alexandra Dienes and Dr. Gustav Gressel to discuss the current challenges and perspectives in view of the new US administration and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Brigadier Wörgötter, deputy commander of the National Defense Academy, opened the panel. The experts discussed how Europe and Austria should move forward in these turbulent times in terms of security policy.
It was also debated what scenarios are possible for the end of the war in Ukraine and what would these scenarios mean for Europe’s future.
