The Expert Workshop Central Europe+ on Scenarios for the European Security Architecture, hosted by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) in Vienna from November 5th and 6th, 2024, gathered experts to discuss potential outcomes of the Ukraine conflict and their implications for European security. Participants from Central and Western Europe examined four scenarios and their potential impacts on Central Europe as well as EU policies, defence, and economic stability. AIES Research Fellow Ulf Steindl contributed insights on Austria's vulnerabilities to the potential outcomes and the country's role in the security landscape during a session focused on Italy and Austria.
