On September, 28 2023 the Diplomatic Academy hosted an exchange of views from the Baltic to Austria regarding Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the security issues it raises across Europe.
The event was co-organized by Austria Institute for European and Security Politics (AIES) and the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Austria. It featured the renowned scholars from Lithuania, Giedrius Česnakas and Justinas Juozaitis, both teaching at the Lithuanian Military Academy, as well as the Major Albin Rentenberger from the Austrian National Defence Academy.
The panel present at the Diplomatic Academy shared many valuable insights, particularly by giving the audience a Lithuanian outlook on the conflict in Ukraine and understanding it in the light of the broader historical context of Russian imperialism and the current military situation on the ground.
