A Panel Discussion about Europe's role in the Indo-Pacific

On 21 March 2023 AIES President Werner Fasslabend started off a panel discussion on Europe’s role in the Indo-Pacific focusing on the question "How can Europe strengthen its footprint in the region?". The session was hosted by Brussels based Wilfried-Martens-Centre and addressed various topics such as EU-ASEAN cooperation, Sino-US rivalry and the impact of the war in Ukraine on the region.
AIES Senior Advisor Alfred Gerstl encouraged EU member states to pursue a joint approach in engaging with the region.
