AIES Talk with Zakaria Haji Abdi

On November 24, 2021, AIES President Werner Fasslabend welcomed former Somali Minister for Information and Education Zakaria Haji Abdi, for a discussion on "Security Challenges at the Horn of Africa". The importance of the region for Europe and the ongoing conflicts in Ethiopia, Somalia, and Sudan were discussed. Likewise, the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and a possible engagement of Western states regarding peace talks were also talked about.
