On October 27, 2021, AIES President Dr. Werner Fasslabend welcomed the President of the European Economic Chamber, Dr. Christoph Leitl, for a discussion on the topic "How does Europe remain an economic power?". The challenges for Europe's economy, the strengths and weaknesses of the EU, the energy crisis and Brexit were discussed. Furthermore, the competitiveness of the European Union compared to China and the USA as well as possibilities to increase it were elaborated.
