EU Space Strategy for Security and Defence
Expert workshop at the AIES

On December 7, 2023, the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy hosted an exclusive workshop on "The EU Space Strategy for Security and Defense - Prospects and Challenges". The focus was on the evaluation of the EU Space Strategy for Security and Defense as well as questions regarding strategies and contributions of the member states to the EU's security in space.
Four experts presented at the workshop:

The discussion was organized by AIES Research Fellow Christoph Schwarz and moderated by AIES Director Michael Zinkanell.
The workshop took place in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defense.
