In November 2023, AIES Director Michael Zinkanell attended the webinar: “The EU Gateway Initiative and its Impact on EU-Africa Relations” in collaboration with the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) Kenya. He presented the structure, reach, goals and function of the EU’s Global Gateway Initiative. This included valuable insights on the initiative’s finances, and on climate and energy production, digital technologies, healthcare, and education. After his presentation, he participated in a discussion with Jackline Kagume and Leo Kemboi of IEA Kenya.
