From 5 to 7 July, AIES Research Fellow Ulf Steindl took part in the seminar "Defending the Eastern Flank" in Tallinn. The seminar was organised by the European Defence Network and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Europe. The participants visited the military base in Tapa and the multinational NATO Battlegroup (NATO Enhanced Forward Presence) there. On the following days, defence strategies in and for the Baltic States and the associated relevance of cyber security were discussed intensively at a conference.
