Artificial Intelligence as a game changer for cyber policies?
AIES moderation at the Cyber Summit in Paris

From the 4th to 5th of June, AIES Director Michael Zinkanell attended the Paris Cyber Summit 2024. For his fourth participation, he moderated a session on AI’s potential for security and defense.
The expert panel was composed of Mr Éric Brier, Technical Director of S3NS at Thales Cyber Defense Solutions, Mr Christian-Marc Lifländer, Head of the Cyber and Hybrid Policy Section of NATO, Mr Luigi Lupoli, Vice President CCO International Marketing of Leonardo and Ms Katherine Sutton, Chief Technology Advisor to the Commander, Director of Operations at the U.S. CyberCommand.
Titled "Is Artificial Intelligence a game changer for cyber policies?”, this 5th edition of the Paris Cyber Summit brought together leaders from governments, tech industries, and academia and emphasized the importance of building trust in cyberspace. Key discussions focused on the questions of regulation and innovation, resilience against cyberthreats, notably through international cooperation and the development of robust cybersecurity frameworks, and more generally on the challenges posed by emerging technologies.
