Expert workshop at the AIES

On November 22, 2023, the Austria Institute for European and Security Policy hosted an exclusive, hybrid workshop on the topic of the climate-security nexus. The focus encompassed the associated challenges and implications for the European Union. Christophe Hodder, United Nations advisor on climate security and environment in Somalia, and Carolin Graf, climate, environment, and conflict data specialist at the International Crisis Group, were invited as experts. The discussion was moderated by AIES Director Michael Zinkanell.
The workshop took place in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defense.
