The AIES is looking for motivated applicants for an internship position assisting with the organization and facilitation of an international China Think-Tank conference in Vienna.

Core tasks
- Assist in organization of conference (hybrid)
- Assist in facilitating of conference in Vienna on 20.04.2023 & 21.04.2023 (in-person attendance required)*
- Assist in wrap-up of conference (hybrid)
- Assist in writing of conference report (hybrid)
- Small ad-hoc research tasks on EU-China relations (hybrid)
*In-person availability on the 20.04 and 21.04.2023 is an essential requirement
Your profile
- Currently enrolled in, or having completed, a bachelor’s or master’s program (ideally in the fields of Sinology, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or similar fields of study
- Professional working proficiency in German and English
- Interest in EU-China relations & Austria-China relations
- Ability to grasp issues quickly and work independently
- Previous experience in organizing a conference or event is advantageous
- Experience in researching China-related fields (EU-China relations, Chinese international relations etc.) is advantageous
