Christine Straßmaier completed her studies in political science, international law, and social anthropology from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in 2012 with a master's thesis on counterterrorism and legitmiacy of the royal family in Saudi Arabia.
From 2009-2010 she studied Arabic at the University of Damascus, Syria. Since then, Christine Straßmaier has been working as a security advisor for industrial corporations. Here she conducts political and security risk assessments and forecasts for the management boards and other decision making positions, especially for operations in the Middle East.
Through several project assignments, she spent an extensive period working in Syria, Lebanon, Dubai and Tunisia.
Ms. Straßmaier's areas of expertise include security & terrorism and the Syrian civil war.
