Francesca Pera joined the AIES as an intern in May 2025.

She holds a bachelor's degree in European Law from Maastricht University, with a specialization in European Union, International and Comparative Law. She later earned a Master’s in European and Global Law from Católica Global School of Law in Lisbon, focusing on Business and International Law. During her studies, she also spent a semester in Paris studying public policy and international relations.

Francesca gained prior experience at the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) in Vienna. Her main research interests lie in European policy and international security, particularly in the context of EU external affairs.
