Samuel Kerschbaumer
AIES Intern

Samuel Kerschbaumer joined AIES in September 2025 as an intern. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Socioeconomics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. His academic background combines Political Science at the University of Vienna with a Master’s in European Integration and Global Studies at CIFE, with study periods in Germany, France, and Türkiye.
His expertise spans EU–U.S. relations, Türkiye and the Black Sea region, the Middle East, as well as China and Taiwan. Samuel’s research focuses on International Political Economy, particularly geoeconomics, where he has explored the strategic role of semiconductors in global value chains.
At AIES, he brings a cross-disciplinary perspective linking economics, foreign policy analysis and international politics, with a strong interest in how global power shifts shape Europe’s security environment.
