The Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES), the Open Nuclear Network (ONN), and the Vienna School of International Studies (DA) organized together the public apnel discussion:
"Women's Leadership in Rethinking Security: Beyond Fear, Force, and Deterrence"
This panel discussion brings together leaders in the fields of nuclear diplomacy and international security to explore what it means to rethink security in the 21st century. Century means. Designed for a broad audience, the event aims to raise awareness and stimulate critical dialogue: - The urgent need for nuclear risk reduction in a changing geopolitical landscape - The limits of deterrence as a basis for global stability - Innovative and inclusive approaches to peace and security - This conversation will focus on the essential role of women's leadership - and diversity in general - in shaping forward-looking, resilient and people-centred security frameworks. The panellists will provide insights into the shortcomings of conventional approaches, highlight the importance of inclusive leadership in nuclear policy and international security, and propose collaborative strategies to reduce risks and promote long-term global stability.
